Hu CaiHua is a stage designer from the Central Academy of Drama, specializing in Stage Design. Dedicated to exploring dynamic and static elements within theatrical space, he aims to uncover the essence of drama by seamlessly integrating cultural heritage, creating immersive experiences that resonate with audiences.
CaiHua’s portfolio encompasses both traditional and contemporary productions. His notable achievements include the award-winning Min Opera “Houguan Women” in 2024, which received top honors at the 26th Fuzhou Drama Festival. Additionally, he has designed stages for operas such as “The Marriage of Figaro” (2024) and “La Traviata” (2020), as well as original dramas like “Sharing a River” (2022) and “Secretary Amei” (2021).
In addition to his theatrical work, CaiHua has made significant contributions to tourism culture performances, designing live-action shows such as “The Wind from Jasmine” (2023) and “The Silent Uprising” at Yantai Shan, Fuzhou (2022). These performances have garnered recognition, with “The Silent Uprising” winning the 2023 Fuzhou Cultural Tourism Boutique Performance Project award and the EGA National Best Culture and Tourism Integration Project award.
