Gone with the Wind is a dramatic work adapted from a novel by American writer Margaret Mitchell. The book is based on the American Civil War and tells a circuitous and touching love story between the protagonists Scarlett and Brad. After studying the script carefully and collecting and watching related films and dramas comprehensively, I analyzed the different personalities of each character and the unique life background at that time, as well as the different effects of war on characters of various classes. Based on the above contents, I selected six characters with distinctive characteristics in the play, and carried out an overall and character-rich modeling design for them. The unified style I designed all reflects a sense of brokenness and collage. Hemp rope, burnt cloth, worn wool are the main elements to show the physical and psychological destruction to people and the unbearable lives of the characters due to war. I want to express the idea of opposing war, preventing war, as well as promoting the beauty of peace, and call for the importance of peace through my design.
